We offer secure 10ft and 20ft storage containers suitable for both household and business use. Whether you need temporary storage during a move or extra space for stock, tools or equipment, we have flexible options available.
How secure is the storage site?
Security is a priority at Haverhill Storage Containers. Our fenced site benefits from electric gated access, CCTV, security lighting and robust lockable steel containers to help keep your belongings safe and protected.
Can I drive directly up to my container?
Yes. All containers are on ground level and benefit from easy drive-up access, making loading and unloading quick and convenient. Vans, cars and larger vehicles can access the site with ease.
Do you offer short-term storage?
Yes. We offer flexible storage terms with a minimum rental period of just 30 days, making our containers ideal for both short and long-term storage requirements.
What can I store in a container?
Our containers are suitable for storing most things. Household furniture, tools, business stock, archive boxes, building materials, seasonal items and much more. Items that are not permitted to be stored include anything illegal, living, flammable, or perishable. If you are unsure whether an item can be stored, simply contact us and we will be happy to advise.
Are the containers weatherproof?
Yes. Our steel storage containers are windproof and watertight, helping to protect your belongings from the elements throughout the year.
Is there 24-hour access?
Customers benefit from 24/7 access, 365 days a year, allowing you to access your container whenever needed. Our electric gates can be opened out of hours from the comfort of your car using your mobile phone.
Do I need my own padlock?
No. We provide a heavy-duty padlock that fits within the protected lock box on the container. You are also welcome to add additional padlocks for extra peace of mind.
How much notice do I need to give to end my rental?
We simply ask customers to provide 30 days’ notice before vacating their container. Our flexible agreements are designed to make moving in and out straightforward.
Is there space for business users?
Absolutely. Many of our customers use our containers for business storage, including tradespeople, online retailers, contractors and local companies needing additional stock or equipment space.
Where are you located?
Our storage site is conveniently located at Maple Park Industrial Estate, just a few minutes from Haverhill town centre with easy access from surrounding Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire areas.
How much storage space will I need?
The amount of space you need will depend on how much you are storing and how efficiently everything is packed. As a general guide, a 10ft container is typically suitable for the contents of a small 2-bedroom property, while a 20ft container can usually accommodate the contents of an average 3-bedroom house. You do not need to move everything in at once – customers are free to access their container as often as needed and can move items in gradually at their own pace.
Are there any additional charges or a security deposit?
We require a security deposit equivalent to one month’s rent, payable in advance. This deposit is fully refundable when you vacate the container, provided the unit is returned in the same clean condition in which it was supplied. Monthly rental payments are collected by direct debit on the first of each month.
How do I arrange a container?

Do I need Contents Insurance?
We recommend arranging your own contents insurance directly with an insurer, as this is often the most flexible and cost-effective option. While we do not provide insurance ourselves, we register with Insurastore where you can obtain a quotation for your stored goods.
